Another Blowout
This is my fourth blowout in 5 months.
These tires are getting really expensive. I am strongly considering going back to 18's and running the same setup that Chad is running. It would be one thing if the 315/25 19's were readily available but its a mission to get these tires!! What are your guy's thoughts?

I would stock-up on the 315's
but, performance-wise.... I think 18" would be a wise choice
how could u blew 4 of them in 5 months?
issit the road conditions?

Yeah, I'm thinking of going back to 18 as well...even though 19's look nice on car...
Go for 18 with Reverse Drop Centre...that makes the wheels look huge too...
and besides...we get more variety of choices in terms of tire...and it's cheaper too....better handling and peformances as well...

Duane...
it's seems like it was just yesterday you replaced that blown rear. I remember a few on rennlist mentioning the camber or something touching the tire...was it any of that?
I just put my stock 18's back on my TT, and it rides so much happier. I got the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and they stick to the road like glue!!!

safety over looks
If you are running the car hard then the smart choice is to stick with the 18's.

I don't run my car hard.
Chris, I think it might have something to do with the way the tires are wearing. The most recent blowout I have not seen yet since the car was towed to the dealer. I might give it one more chance in the mean time while I order some new 18's.

Reverse Mounted Wheels
Take a look at HRE’s site for more information on “Reverse Mounted Wheels†The mounting bolts are on the inside of the wheel, thus creating more outer lip and the wheel appears much larger in diameter! They do not com cheap however.

It is like comparing the 547's to the 547R's. R standing for "reverse"
Hope this helps... I'm sure Peter from Wheel Experts will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong .

oh and yeah more choice in terms of tires...
