It's supposed to rain through next Tuesday... so...

I decided this as good of time as any to wash and wax my car that it needs so badly.

I have the middle of the day off (9-3) then I go to being Mr. Mom while my wife whoops it up in Colorado through Sunday.

Well, since I had limited time to myself, I wanted to do something, but the weather sucked too bad to do anything fun, so I got creative.

I wanted to play golf, but was afraid of lightning.
This picture doesn't do justice to the ugliness of the weather...
(I'm a horrible photographer)

My driveway looked like this

So how do I wash and wax the car? Stupid rain!

Hehe... notice the golf cart that can't go anywhere... (I'm so bummed)

Looks so nice clean... now to wax over the next few days during my daughter's naps, etc. :)

Is that a golf course in your back yard?

There are 8 batteries in that cart. It moves pretty quickly. I think it hits 18 mph in 3 seconds!

It runs the quarter in about 1:20 seconds and traps at 18 mph!

Yes, that's a golf course, but before the fairway is a large greenbelt so it's hard to tell. :)

I just installed an 18 HP 85 lb ft motor into one of ours, they say it'll hit 25 in 3 seconds w/ a top speed around 35-40  What kind of batteries are they? Since you say you have 8 I'm assuming you have a 48 volt system w/ 8 6 volts. Loose some weight and ditch it to 6 8 volt batteries.

Sorry i'm a golf cart junkie. My Grandfather and his dad and brother helped event the first electric golf cart.

Pack the maroon or go home packing ;)

I just got this golf cart mag at work and they have golf cart races in daytona, FL every year. They do things like mud bogging, figure 8's, oval track and a 1/4 mile. Some guy hit a high 13 w/ an electric cart and some dude is in the 11's w/ a gas one  hilarious!

OMG... LOL

I thought you were just teasing.

I don't know anything about my cart other than the 8 batteries and the top speed. :)

Maybe I should get into racing it too!?

I just finished helping my buddy build a full suspenion golf cart, we are hitting the sand dunes in it next weekend, the thing has about 8" of travel and fully adjustable gas shocks. He also did the same motor and speed controller I did. Our goal is to catch air
