Anything new on spoiler failure light?

My 2002 TT with OEM GT-2 deck still shows the dreaded "spoiler failure" light at speeds over 70 ish. It goes away each time the car gets shut off, so it's not a big deal but if there's a simple fix, I'd go for it. Anybody coming across or doing anything new with this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Red Devil, Do you have the GT-2 wire harness for the spoiler ?

I have a GT2 add on wing (CF) and I simply unplugged the rear spoiler electronics. For months I got no spoiler failure lights and my spoiler stayed flat. A week or so ago, it went up again and I now get the spoiler failure light every time drive the car.

Any options for me? Will the GT2 harness work for me? If so, how much and how hard is it to install?

Thanks!

Not sure. I think they may have used old wiring and bypassed or jumped around things. I'll have to swing by there one day for a look.

Do a search. I recall someone posted a way to eliminate the light spoiler light by jumpering two contacts on the harness plug. Depending on which contact you jumper, one could leave the spoiler up or down.
Hope this helps..

he doesnt have the spoiler but the whole GT2 decklid. its a fixed wing. theres a post on here somewhere that shows how you can just disable the feature to go up and down. i'm sure the dealer can program it so it doesnt read it as well.

Also ... I've read somewhere that the Aerokit Wiring Harness works too ... something about it being ... cheaper ...

You likely need the spoiler wiring harness from the TT Aerokit (also a fixed wing). The part number is: 996 612 070 30 Wiring Harness.
This a simple harness that goes from the passenger side of the body (near the lid shock post) to the deck lid wiring.

My car does the same thing, it goes up at 75 and goes down at a stop and works fine but it throw's a error, what could be wrong?

My car is doing this same thing, I opened the decklid and noticed the left ram is leaking fluid. I guess my system is on its way out. $$$
