What's a real RUF bastard worth?

That's not a RUF is it? it was converted to a turbo years after being a a C4s?... Albeit by RUF. Isn't that a BAD thing?

That is a conversion. A 'real' Ruf IMO has a Ruf serial number. Still a nice car and a Ruf conversion is certainly not a bad thing.

Sorry I am not feeling it,Its still a C4S.I don't care what he has done to it, it will never be a TT.He will consider a trade for a " Real TT " is what he means

Dont get me wrong it's a great car,and I love the red. If i were looking for a 993 TT, I would have to pass for that kind of $$

This car is FAR from a bastard. It's a 993 C4S with RUF TurboR conversion. Not much different than what forum member atan888 is having done to his C2S by protomotive.

The difference is negligible between the C4S and Turbo besides the engine/trans. With the TurboR motor, as long as it has a TT tranny in it, it's as good as, if not better than a stock 993TT. I do, however, agree with you on the price being too high.

Not BS at all, seller didn't know what he had. Someone from rennlist jumped on it and "stole" it. Apparently another rennlist member had a deposit on it and some people in the 993 forum were crying foul play. Here's a thread with links/info to all the info surrounding the car:

The thread suggests the car sold for 35K. Probably a great deal at that price and worth lots more.

IMO that car will always have an "asterisk" on it. Albeit a RUF asterisk.

You can buy a real 993 TT and do a RUF TurboR engine conversion for 90K. That car doesn't have suspension and many other things that make a TurboR.
