Air injection system bank 1 and bank 2
#2
The air injection system is used on cars to add fresh air to the exhaust valve exit stream to raise it's temp and warm up the cats faster for reduced emissions . It's partly why the exhaust sounds so good at cold start up. Any changes to the headers/cats/ECU/leaks etc could throw off the parameters/limits of the air injection system and throw an OBDII code.

Thanks for the info...I believe I have a boost leak somewhere...most likely a split DV hose. When I was trying out the HKS BOV, i purchased vacuum hosing from a local autoparts store (definitely not as robust as the stock tubing) and now I must have a boost leak as Im only peaking at .8 bar. Oh well...time to pull the hoses and check them out.
