Vivid Racing 650 kit installed, but dyno results were below expectations
I just have to say, that I see Tuners going out of their way to help customers out, like Dan is in this case.
What I do not understand is why customers feel the need to make things public before they do the honorable thing and deal with the tuner privately. If the tuner makes it right then all is well and no need to ever have brought this up in public, possibly ruining a tuners name and, thus, livelyhood.
Ken, based on the below, I think you will be fine, but maybe it would have been better to deal with this off line to avoid dragging names through the mud.

I appreciate those comments guys. this is about Ken and he needs to get the parts that have been proven to work on other cars working on his. Vivid Racing is upside down in this deal, but we want to get it corrected. Ken, you ship the car down here and we will fix it all for you for free and put it on the dyno, and I will pay for your 1 way or roundtrip ticket here.
I need to bring up a point that I am not sure others saw... Maybe some input here as I do not own a Dyno Dynamics.
When we run tests on the Mustang dyno, the test starts out at 2500rpm and ends at 6800rpm for the 996TT. We run ours in 3rd gear, simply 4th gear at 125+ mph on a dyno is to knarly for lack of words. If you look at one of my dyno's below, at 2500 RPM we are making about 150hp and 300ft/lbs of torque. On your dyno sheet you are making 80hp and 200ft/lbs of torque. So overall the scaling of that entire dyno sheet looks off. Is it possible that they did not do the tests correctly. Cause their would lie your 100HP... Since they do Subaru and we do Subaru, we could compare a Stock 08 STI even. I would be interested to see.

By just glancing at the graphs you can the tell is a bit laggy as peak torque is achieved after the car on our dyno.
I would guess boost leak as well and it appears to be apparent just by checking the change in peak torque. Your car is slower to spool I can tell you that without looking at a boost plot, the torque speaks volumes.
Either way I know that either way we can get it all figured out so that the car is running just the way you would expect.

Going back to Markski post, have you done a pressure test? So many posts I might have missed that. In the original boost you listed the upgraded intercoolers by Blown6. On a Subaru WRX FMIC we had on a car, the car ran strong, but as soon as it hit say 14psi of boost, it dropped off like a turd. We found out that there was a crack in the end tank of the intercooler. After rewelding it, car ran fine. Just a thought...
I never received any feedback or answers to the posts above made on 10/14 and 10/15. I have to keep this thread live and a public issue since it was started this way. I have received an email from the customer and have prepared a post. I will not post it till I see what the customer decides to do. I want people to know what is going on and I need to protect the brand and integrity of Vivid Racing and our products.
I will only post my post once if the customer who started the thread makes a statement. To answer your question unvmym3 - no the customer took the car back to Weissach again to look at it instead of doing what we recommended in email.
I just want everyone to know before this gets any uglier, my last email to stand behind my product is this...
"I will tell you this, if you brought the car down to me, and I fixed your issues, then strapped it on the dyno with pump gas of 94 octane and it did not make 500awhp, then sure as hell, I will pull that kit off and give you your money back."

^you cannot ask for more than that, especially if they (vivid) are willing to reinstall and tune the car for free^
Very seldom do people stand behind there product like this, BRAVO

Way to stand behind your product, Dan. Customer service like this will keep you around for quite some time. I'll definitely continue to be a customer as long as I have a Porsche.
Some people are difficult, I know, but as long as you do the ethical thing you'll be ok.
Way to go!!!
