Vivid Racing 650 kit installed, but dyno results were below expectations
ken - I will not make this a public discussion. You have my contact details. You are the only one with said problem and we are doing what we can to assist you. Publically attacking us is not the best way to figure out a resolution. If you want to discuss this, you have my numbers. Myself and many other 6speeders here have told you what to do or made suggestions. In regards to your credits for the screwups by your installers, you are right, it did not get made, I will have it done today for the $700 for the new GT28 center cartridge.
As far as your car goes, the Softronic ECU Flash or ANY ECU Flash for that matter does not control the external wastegates. The factory boost solenoid needs to be COMPLETELY removed from the equation. If you are leaking boost, it is because you have a boost leak or the Greddy install incorrectly.

Your car is behaving exactly like a car with either a boost leak or an intake restriction. Since boost hoses are flexible and move/grow a bit when pressurized, a mere visual inspection will often not uncover the source of the leak no matter how qualified the tech looking at the various hoses is supposed to be. Do a proper boost leak check by pressurizing the system at the turbos as Markski described, fix whatever boost leak you have, and your missing 100 HP will magically appear.
I'm gonna throw something else out here...
I know a specific shop has been mentioned as "having installed the parts" in question... Don't take this the wrong way, but every shop makes mistakes and every shop will continue to.
Shops are like vendors... If it isn't THEIR creation, then it's the fault of the components, and not their install... I saw this first hand when dealing with my THIRD clutch install by my indy, who by all intentions, was trying to "help me". They just didn't have a clue how powerful my tune was and what was required to make the driveline hold the torque.
Just because this shop has installed other packages doesn't mean they have direct experience with the components in question here...You clearly have a problem stemming from how the parts were installed, and your biggest mistake was coming here and hammering the vendor, especially with the lack of cooperation on your side...

Dan does not have a 99% positive feedback...he has 100% positive feedback.i shop parts from Dan and they were shipped to Greece, two times(now i am about to shop for third time)One single part was not operating properly when my k24/18g tune was made..Before that, with k16/24 everything was ok...When the problem occured, I mailed Dan and he told me to send him back the part and recieve a full refund for it...I did not create a thread in public BEFORE informing Dan and watch his reaction...He reacted well and fair...Remember i am from Europe,Greece so he could just ignore me very easily...But he did not...that is why I will shop again from him...
I had a fitment issue with the adapter kit I got from Dan (admitedly there are always going to be some bumps in the road when you start going for big power levels). However I was fortunate enough to have an excellent person doing the install and he was able to fabricate a solution.
I incurred $400 in extra fabrication costs. I asked Dan to split the costs with me and he did a bit better giving me $300 in store credit.
Now I am ordering some of the very cool looking DC shoes.
The bottom line is that you have to have top notch people working on your car at every stage of the process.
BTW, I am still going to write a song about Dan and post it up...it will be called "Mermelstein" and sung to the tune of the Beatles "Yesterday."

I have had similar problems with installation on large turbos (GT35R) on other car. 99% of the time it is the installation and not the parts that I bought. I have bought for any vendors for other car but only from a few for my 996TT until I found Vivid Racing. I have nothing but praise for Dan and Rob. Give the guy a break, he has just got back from his honeymoon. I am confident that the problem you are experiencing will be sorted out shortly
I appreciate those comments guys. this is about Ken and he needs to get the parts that have been proven to work on other cars working on his. Vivid Racing is upside down in this deal, but we want to get it corrected. Ken, you ship the car down here and we will fix it all for you for free and put it on the dyno, and I will pay for your 1 way or roundtrip ticket here.
Ken Take Dan up on that offer, he will get it working right. The bottom line is you want what you paid for and Dan wants your car to run right...seems like a win win situation to me.
Wow. I think that's an extremely "more than fair" offer.
