I'm sure most 6-speeders have it. I used to hate it. Now I do all of my cars that are not going to be a garadge queen. Especially if you fwy, canyon or track the car. Does not affect the paint. The old stuff used to turn yellow but now it's all good as long as you ask for the good quality film. What city are you in. For L.A. try Coastline Concepts (Jeff/Eric) or Sticker City (Andy). Orange County try ModernImage. All good guys.

I have it on my GT2 but I noticed when I washed the car and scrubbed a little, it left marks which do not come off. I used a soft washing mit which doesnt harm the pain but when I scrub on the 3M film it leaves marks. I thought maybe the mit was dirty but that was not the case. I scrubbed on the bumper to get the dead bugs out and I noticed it. Then I scrubbed a little on the hood and noticed it there also.. I wasnt even scrubbing hard.
I cant get these marks out.. Does anyone else have this problem ?

3M film is pretty bad about that. Thats why I have gone with installing ClearMask and VentureShield. I think they are much easier to maintain not to mention a lot less orange peel.

I had/have the same problem with most who have the 3M clear bra. It leaves marks if you scrub it too hard, you know, to get the deceased bugs off. But it does save your paint. If there is a clear bra that DOESN'T leave marks, thats the one to go with.

You will want to take it off before 10 years because the film turns yellow after a few years. When you do, it comes off very easily after you leave it in the sun for an hour.

You know that is true about the scratches. I did rub hard with compound to get something out once and it did scratch. You do have to ask for maintinance advise and be careful.

I'd recommend doing the WHOLE HOOD, and a strip above the windshield on the roof, along with the nose and tops of fenders. I got a lot of little chips from track abuse this past year. It's worth it to get with a good installer who can hand cut the pieces to get maximum coverage AFTER you've had a good detailing/ Waxing done to the paint.
