Giac's file for 700Kit is still effective
Andrew,
I do have to apologize to Giac for bashing you guys on the forum. I was very pissed off about my set up and was not thinking straight. This whole time I thought it was software but come to find out today that it is all hardware related. I do realize that EVO's first 700 Kit and 800 kit was ran on Giac software. I have been a loyal customer of Giac for number of years and I felt that for showing some gratitude it would be nice to come out and play all cards on the table. Giac even called me a few times and offered to help cutom tune my car. At this point, since I have already started a new set up I have to pass on this. My apologies to Andrew and Giac for bashing them again. Hope you did not take all this personally Andrew. Regards, Art |
I think that's cool Art. You should do what makes you happy. I do know that you were frustrated and I also know that they wanted to offer assistance on the software side.
Good luck. (Don't make it faster than mine k) |
what was the hardware problem?
|
You're a stand up guy in my book for posting this.
People forget that GIAC has more flashes under under their belt than any other tuner. Maybe more than all the other tuners combined.

:D Sam, We are checking the Turbochargers, there is no water lines on them. I thought these were supposed to be the ball bearing ones. What am I missing from this picture? |
Hey Yellow long time. I miss your jokes.
Just to make sure there is no confusion. I spoke with Art to try and help out. As we spoke he remembered that we did not go the ball bearing rout as he would incur added costs for the turbo's themselves and the water lines. It was not worth it at that time. We are talking about 2-300 rpm spool max on a small turbo. As for the hardware guys I hate to say that I think there were some inconsistencies with quality of install work and mix-matching of parts. Maybe low attention to detail in the recent past. Unfortunately as a sales-person I had to fight with this often. This business is tough. I think that they are better now and I don't know all of the details as I was in sales and my influence with ownership only went so far as busy as I was. I think that even Thomas would tell you that when it came to trying and customer service I did what I could with the tools and control that I had. Like I said things are a little tighter and downsized there and there are many cars running good. Hopefully Dan and the crew will pick up the slack and learn from the mistakes in the past as we all make them. |
Hey Art I will actually be at Betim's Tomorrow and call you from there. Let's see if we can do something with the ecu/parts and help out.
|
Thanks Sam.

Thank you Andrew for accomodating my option.
