PS2's: I keep getting Flats....
 

Anyone else have this problem. I have PS2s on 19s with 325 on the back. Both the Front and rear tires keep going flat. Garage can never find the leak and I just keep replacing them. Anyone else have this problem or know what it could be about ? Boston has some ****ty roads but I didn't have this problem before with my stocks.

What wheels are you running?

Iforged 19's Aero's, Three Piece, 5 inch lip in the rear 3 in the front. Forgot exact specs. Why ?

Have you had them resealed?

Valve stem area?

Try mixing some hand soap and water into a spray bottle......spray around the wheel/tire and look for bubbles.

You should do a leak test on those I forged.

Try the soap in water approach. Put it in a spray bottle and spray all around the tire and wheel and look for bubbles.

With my new wheels, I had the same problem with the rears, which turned out that the bead wasn't seating properly. They would lose ~5 psi per day, so it was a fairly slow leak. I took the 2 rears to the tire shop and they dismounted the tires and used a bead-sealing agent (looks like road tar), which completely solved the problem.

You may also have a problem with the wheels. Look for a leak around the valve stem, or where the 3 pieces meet - the silicone could have a small hole in it.

I had the same issue in combination with HRE wheels.
The issue is that (new) tires have these small, slightly elevated pieces of rubber where the tire molds used to come together. Despite being extremely small, it constantly used to cause the same type of leaks for me. I had the tire shop take off the tires and had them remove the excess rubber and re-install the tire afterward. Never happened since :)

I once had a set of centerlines that leaked. The wheels were less than a year old and the seal between rim half's went bad. The shop used silicone to reseal it and I never had another problem.

If the out halves are chromed, the chrome get microscopic cracks around the bead area that can cause leaks. Bead sealer can also fix this.

I had a similar problem, check your valve stems.
