Keithta Protomotive 997TT - New 60-130 Times & 1/4 Mile Trap Speed
A number of members in the 996 Turbo forum are familiar with the issues I was experiencing with my car. Just wanted to follow up and let you guys know I have since corrected:
1) The Poor custom air intake design (I had partially crushed inlet pipes leading from the stock air box to the turbo compressors)
2) All Diverter valve/boost hose/leak/boost response issues.
3) The Cam Actuator Fault on Bank 2 - Timing Over Advanced.
Here are a few photos of some of the updates that were installed:

I've been wondering about that too. Does anyone know who's building his engine?
Congrats, those are some impressive numbers!
Scotts old protomotive 996 has a 150+ trap in it as well. If only I'd known the actual boost was lower than I thought while at the 1/4mile. Still, 147.6 on submax boost was pretty good.

we were out last night together but he was on pump gas, I think the race will be pretty damn close this time.

Chris' car has picked up more power and has gone RWD since our last run. So Yes, the race will definetely be VERY close.
He ran 2 quick passes on the driftbox and ran a 6 flat. If he ran a few more times he would def. pull a 5.x run.
Regardless, I layed his 6.0 chart up against a few of my 5.9 runs and the curves were virtualy identical.
BTW, has anyone figured out how to do a 2 wheel drive conversion on the 997TT? As far as I know no has as of yet.

Good to hear you guys are setting up a rematch...few questions tho:
Chris: how much whp is your car now? other than rwd conversion, is your car full weight?
Keith: is your car full weight and will you be running 19s/20s?
thnx for the comparo guys!!

Just to paint a clearer picture for you....
Chris put down 670 rwhp on a dynojet.
According to Todd at Protomotive, in general he said a 700 awhp car on his dynapak dyno would translate to about 685 rwhp on a dynojet dyno.
My car according to Todd and his experience with my car on his Dynapak dyno should put down 730-750 awhp in its current form (this is to ALL 4 WHEELS). Well call it in the middle at 740 awhp.
If what Todd says about dynapak vs. dynojet numbers holds true, then my car should put down about 715-720 rwhp on a dynojet. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to run a rwd so you must figure in an additional 5% loss in power since the AWD is connected. With this said, my car should perform like a 680-685 rwhp car.
