Speed Yellow

Hope all of you are doing well this weekend.

I am looking at a 2003 Speed Yellow 996TT. I have only seen a yellow one in person once - and cannot remember how bright the color is.

I have lots of photos to look at - some of them make the car look like this amazing yellow - kind of like the Guards Red - in how bright it is - but in yellow.

Then some make it look a little more dull - just a little on the mustard side.

I was wondering from guys that either have a Yellow Porsche or have seen them in person - how the color looks in person.

Thank you for the insight.

Have a wonderful day.

Definitely a color you get used to. In very bright light is becomes dull to me (probably my eyes reacting to it being too bright), but get it in the dark or an overcast day and you can really appreciate the color. I've never personally wanted a yellow car until i saw my SY for the first time, I've had many people say that same thing.

It's not *that* bright, especially in daylight.

Making the buying decision is indeed the biggest step. Once you've got it, it's a truly unique color and I don't think I will ever get bored with it. Some of the other colors are so ... bland. Why fork out this kind of money to go with conservative 'seal gray' ? It's like being closet g*y. If you drive a super car, it may as well look like one.

Funny anekdote. The week after placing the buy on my car I ran into a speed yellow boxster. That night I nearly didn't sleep and was about to cancel the order. Boxsters can't pull this agressive color. Luckily, it's a different thing for the TT

Here's an old post of mine with some real world pics of my car on the highway :
