Guys,

I need your opinion according performance ball bearing turbines with kkk exhaust housing.
I would use them in 997 tt next project, there are nearly bolt on. Need about 1300 kilograms each with fast spooling.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there are any ball bearing turbos with KKK exhaust flanges. The Tial hybrids (k16/GT28 or k24/GT30) don't use ball bearings. Same goes for the Mistu hybrids (k16/16g, k24/18g, k24/20g).

but this is only one set with ball bearings? what about evoms 700-800?

What turbines are you running? do you have dyno graph from europe?

 

I have Tial hybrid K24/GT30 turbos and it is my understanding that the turbine side has oil journal bearings but I'm sure the Garrett compressor has ball bearings.

 

Evoms is using a propriotary hot side only sold to evoms by tial.. it probably is bigger then any kkk hotside and thus they can stuff bigger turbine wheels... the kkk hot side is about .60 A/R... small when copared to a standar gt3076r with a .82 A/R... and that is why most kkk hybrid turbos choke up when compared to full tru garrett turbos wiht bigger hot sides....
We have a propriotary garrett tubro that does not need water lines and outflows the gt3076r... Ill have some 60 and 130s next week... watch out guys...

Contact Greg at Tial. He has not publicly released the new housings yet. I have seen them prior to install and they are spectacular! They look like GT25 exhaust housings with standard K16/K24 bolt patterns. There are 2 different AR's available. The larger one accepts GT30's and maybe more. The placement of the wastage is ideal because it blows in the same direction as the turbine. Tial has also isolated the turbine exhaust with a cone/tube to help flow prior to it converging with the wastegate.

Installed in a 993tt they have been VERY impressive! Much more so than the past GT conversion into a KKK housing. That housing is flawed because the wastegate blows accross the face of the turbine wheel reducing overall flow.
