if not the Borrego, Rondo is another great alternative from KIA; i got one sitting next to my pcar in the garage while i leave the Rover parked on the driveway.

I state publicly again that I have absolutely zero scorn for fdorn.

Wife has promised this time to take care of the CTT if I let her drive it...and gasp, actually help pay for the maintanence. She has also promised to keep it clean. Yeah right....I peeked inside her car and it is the same disaster zone as always. The new Hundai Genesis sedan is looking better and better.

Couldn't resist this....
the KIA R Soul - go ahead, say it out loud....R Soul...

Gotta watch video. It is funny.

Obviously, I'm joking about all of this and no harm intended.

Bought a '08 Kia Optima last year to use as an "airport" car (spends half it's life unprotected in a parking lot). While I'll admit it has a lot of plastic parts, thus far I have had not a single issue with it. I believe it's rated just behind the Honda Accord (which I have owned two of in the past) by Consumer Reports. The Optima is comparable in size to the older Accords (4 door sedan). For $11.8k brand new with a 100k mile / 10 year warranty, it's hard to argue against it. That price was for a pretty basic version; 5 speed manual, PW, PL, A/C, reasonable audio system, no cruise, no power seats. Not sure what they are actually going for this year. It's certainly not a head turner, but for reliable, comfortable, and economical transportation I'm not sure you can find a better value.
