radar jammer
Who has a radar jammer.
My question is how good does it work? Has anyone got a ticket well having the jammer installed on their car? I just got a new radar and am wondeing if I need a jammer to. I got the new Escort 9500ix. |
o one more thing.. where is the best place to hard wire the radar detector in?
under the steering wheel? What color of wires shall I tap into :) Thanks |
I would like to know as well. Someone here has to have one. Anyone???

Radar Jammers are illegal in the US (and I would assume Canada) and they dont work well since the police have many bands including broad band Ka.
Laser jammers are legal in most places in the US but I would wonder about Canada. They work extremely well assuming you get the right one and install it correctly. If they are legal in Canada, you will need one since radar/laser detectors do not offer adequate protection from laser. Since I got mine I have been lasered twice without a ticket. I had mine installed so I dont know which wire they tapped into. |

Then it comes on when you open the car and switches of when you close the car... https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...t-paddel-4.jpg |
Don't have a laser jammer but can help with the hardwiring of the radar detector. I somewhat followed these directions tapping into a wire up in the sunroof button cluster and hung the V1 up high on the glass with a suction cup.

sweet!

Getting caught with a radar jammer is a Federal offense. The FCC and Military gets somewhat upset at RF signals being jammed, especially around air traffic control radars, you can figure the rest out.
Laser jammers are mostly legal (lasers are regulated by FDA last I remember) but check your local laws.

Ryan,
Get a K40 LD5500, it has saved me twice on the drive to and from Vernon:D |
hey that thing is cool...
Do you have to have it on the front? Caus I don't have a plate on the front :) |

Have a look at the attached pic. I got a couple of warnings for not having a front plate. This was the perfect reason to put the plate on so it masks the view of the LD5500. When I do get stopped the cops cannot see it.hilarious

I see what you mean you can't see it... did you cut it up?
does that system run on batteries or u feed it power? it sucks we have to have plates on front eh?? |
