They only come in 10.5 width but they are so light I might make a deal for some when I get my turbo. I really appreciate any help you guys can offer in my quest to see 'em on a 996 TT. The 996TT I get will likely be dark blue or black if you happen to have pics.

Here's a white set on a GT2. I didn't rotate the rear rim and caliper because the rim pic was on a slight angle and I don't have a 3D rendering program.

It is my understanding if you can get a hold of someone who can deal w/ Rays Racing in Japan they will custom make you a set in basically any size

It'll be pricey and take some time to recieve though.

Parker thanks for your help on the photoshop pics. I think the wheels look great on it. I can get them in silver and just keep the stock rear tires on the 1/2 narrower rear rims. That will probably provide around 25 lbs. in unsprung weight savings (like taking a couple hundred lbs. of weight from the body of the car).

Out of the white and the black, the black looks better but not a good choice of wheel for the TT.

there are plenty of wheels available that will yeild the same weight savings and give you options for a wider rear available

Scott,

I wasn't aware that a lighter wheel than the TE-37 from Volk existed. Which models weigh less in comparable sizes?

Is that based on the looks or is there another reason why they're not a good choice? I did a very raw photo maipulation in ms publisher and the Volks in silver actually looked really good to me on a dark blue/ black 996TT.

Volk Racing makes some of the highest quality wheels I have ever seen! Try the bronze!!!

Contact Mackin Industries for special orders/custom sizes.

It is a 3 month wait, but definitely worth it!

what is an 18 x 10.5 Volk wheel weigh in at? It's around 16-17 lbs right?

For example those new wheels that PES is selling are 19's and the rears are 19x11 or 12 and they are like 21 lbs.

most of the ratings you will see for volk wheels will be the 18 x 7.5 or so sizes. I use to have a good website that had wheel weights by width and size but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Let me look around

That is awesome news. I'm going to order a set of silver-finished TE-37s in the same widths & offset as the stock GT2 (8.5" offset 40 mm and 12" offset 45 mm) as soon as I'm absolutely certain I'll be getting a 996TT (January?). Should I go all out and get the super-light magnesium (sp?) version?

on this site it has their 18x7.5 weighing in at 17 lbs (same weight as the 18x17.5's Racing Hart CP10's I have on my daily driver honda) while the 18x8.5 magnesium wheel weighs in at 12.9. I really do not recommend (along w/ the others on this board) a magnesium wheel for street use.

http://www.wheelweights.net/

this site has some listings for various weights but nothing in a large size

Volks use to be the lightest wheels around in the import scene, but there has been a lot of competition for them lately. They are still light weight but others have caught up and surpassed

I had spoon (a honda tuner) wheels on an old car a buddy and I had done and they were 15x6.5 and weighed in at something rediculous like 8 lbs
