I agreed with the past thread on phoney badges and promply removed the "GT" from the rear of my turbo. Rookie mistake I guess. Incidentally, that is KEN's car next to me at Willow Springs.

 

Actually, I think GT is fine ... GT2, on the other hand is really ridiculous. Especially with a rear wiper!!

 

Could I get away with 2TG since I am dislexic?

 

Its better to debadge rather than phony badge.

 

I guess I am rare, but for me, if its a Turbo, you can put whatever badge you want on it, I could'nt care less...

 

I could also care less what anyone puts on their car. I really feel sorry for the idiots who can't tell the difference.

 

And I feel bad for the owner who thinks he is fooling me!!!
Not that long ago, I spotted a beautiful black Porsche at the mall parking. Nice, GT2 bumper, GT2 rear wing ... uh-oh, could it be a GT2, OMG, it has the GT2 logo ... but ... is that a rear wiper I see? BWAAAHAHAHAHAHA! I wanted to go back and leave a card saying "Nice Turbo" but the guy was gone when I got there later ...

 

I dont have any problem if I saw a Turbo with a GT2 body kit and badge... I would do it myself if the car was not a lease...

 

So what took you so long to figure it out. Actually I love most of the looks of the GT2. I just can't stand the fact that the awd set up will outperform it in the straights and most of the turns.

For what it is worth ............... Killer Angel doesn't have a rear wiper. Does that make it a GT2?

I'm not fond of the GT2 bumper (those splitters don't do it for me) ... but the rest is very nice. That rear wing is only second to the GT3RS wing, IMO.
Actually, I have nothing against it, the dude's car looked real fine (had some big-lipped BBS-like rims) ...

Don't mix Killer Angel in the game ... that's cheating! . When it runs, it outperforms. Generally. It just outperforms. So don't start cheating!! LMAO!

Kit, no problem with, badge problem with.

 

You never see someone substituting the badge of a less expensive vehicle. So when I see a phony badge it just tells me that the owner is trying to fool people into thinking he has a car he can't afford. And it's just weak.

 

For what it's worth, I had one of the finest ERA Cobra's (kit car) in the area. It had a 428CJ engine and fake badges indicating that it was a 427 Cobra. I don't know...something about the badge "fiberglass replicar" just didn't seem to bring the finishing touch to the car. As far as the "GT" goes, it was actually thought of when I installed the EVO GT700 to give it a more unique identity. Changed my mine and am staying badgeless.
