I've realized that I've never turned on my Stereo....

Ever. My wife asked me the other day what I liked to listen to while driving the Porsche.
She turned it on for pre-sets... None.
Hit the disc eject.... No disc.
That was the first time I think the stereo was ever turned on.

I turned it back off. hilarious

I really just like the engine noises, and tend to get "lost" in the mechanical music. Anyone else?

and you have the stock exhaust...LOL. wait until you get a "real" exhaust.

:) I have the '00 standard base unit, including the 4-slot cassette tape holder!
Needless to say they have had zero usage, along with the tape deck.

I finally turned mine on in the 911 last year when I got the GT (on which I only turned the radio on for the first time this year!!). Of course, they're both off again now.

But, I suppose it's nice to know the radios work before the warranty expires. hilarious

That's hilarious. Have you owned the car since new? Now I have to turn the radio on just to drown out the straight pipes; other end of the spectrum.

I've never taken the time to learn the presets. Don't know if that makes me cool or not :p .

That's just great:mad:. Sounds like all my fussing over how my new Alpine system sounds is going to be meaningless when I starting modding..

most of the times i turn off the radio to listen to the bucket of coins ! hilarious

I couldn't even hear my stock stereo with the RPI GT exhaust but neither could the drivers in the cars beside me...mind you this was during rushhour driving speeds where the exhaust was at it's loudest.

Wait, our cars have a stereo?

MTheory May 5, 2009 10:09 PM

When the turbo's kick in, my GMG exhaust is shocking. Even the Harley guys are outraged. Are you guys saying my car came with a radio or something?

BallinGPM May 6, 2009 03:11 PM

LOL, the only car company around that gets away with casette players and "casette storage compartments" in the 2000's without customer complaints....

hilarious Glad to know I'm not alone hilarious That's why I didn't mind when the previous owner told me the cd changer isn't functioning.
