996 GT2 dyno'd where to from here....upgrades

2 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys, I dyno'd my 996GT2 today and it looks like the software has been tweaked 16psi 406rwhp Dynodynamics but everything else is standard except for air filter. Looking for input with regards to upgrades, Diverter valves, exhaust etc, looking for 470rwhp approx. Thanks

Date on dyno sheet is nearly 3 years ago?

Yeah, I know but just ignore that it was done today. :)

It's this simple:24/18g's,injectors,x-tra fuel pump,dv's,exhaust,EBC ,lgr IC's & intake. Should be good for 650-700rwhp.

Saint, welcome to the group!

It will get scary fast very quickly; hopefully you have a plan to get acquainted with a high HP rear drive 911 before ramping things up? Maybe you already are; share some pictures of the car and some of your automotive history?

Thanks mate. My background is BMW's and have one of the fastest e46m3's here in Australia (573rwhp+) and well known on m3forum and the likes. Just always wanted a gt2 and time was right so why not.:) Just want to do mild upgrades for now, like exhaust, dv's, air intake. Not sure which company to go with and what. Any help is appreciated.

About 17psi from what I can see on the dyno sheet. What can I run with the factory turbos

Hey mate:)

Exactly what Paulie mentioned above except clutch upgrade. You will need a good clutch to hold this power level down on the ground.

Going through his list now and pricing up.:)

Running 1.2 BAR leads me to believe you have a flash.

1. maximize your factory hardware:

I would start with billet diverter valves (your stock ones will pop)
Exhaust (100 or 200 cell cats)
Upgrade the wastegate springs (modified stock units seem most reliable)

You will still run 18 PSI but you will get there a lot quicker and hold the boost better. The midrange will blow your mind and the car will pull strong all the way to redline. Probably a solid 550-575 HP car.

2. The next step is upgraded turbos, a 5 BAR FPR (fuel pressure regulator) or bigger injectors and the correct flash. 625-700 HP

3. A second fuel pump would be about as far as you can go on stock internals.

It would help a lot if you know who current flash is from, most companies offer a much reduced upgrade path.

Thanks Ari. Where do I get upgraded modified stock wastegate springs from?

Diverter Valves does it matter who from?
What about replacing factory boost hoses is this really that important.

Unfortunately I do not know who has flashed the car but I saw 1.2 bar again tonight so agreed it's been played with.

What about upgraded air intakes, crucial??

I have a stage IV (Sachs Motorsports) clutch for sale posted under the automotive parts just in case anyone is interested.
