The 996tt is tip car w/2 passengers
The C6ZO6 has ported heads, huge cam and other bolt ons which made 660hp according to LPE

Nice run.
That LPE car should be making around 560 rwhp (660 crank). My 996 at the K24/18G level was making around 580-600 rwhp at 1.3 BAR. So, depending on the amount of boost the Proto car was running, the results seem accurate.
The driver of the Z06 may have something to do with it as well (it didn't sound like he was taking to redline...where his peak HP is at), but again...it was a good race and solid win for the Proto car.

Right, the 996 is a Tip. I was talking about the Z06. He definitely isn't shifting at redline which is hurting him. It's his own fault, though.

A intake, exhaust, tuned Z06 makes around 500 rwhp. An intake, exhaust, cam'd, heads and tuned Z06 (like this car) can make anywhere from 550-580 rwhp.

Thanks. You are correct.

MY firend had LGH do his Z, and ended up with 505/500 WITH a mild cam. He took it back a while later and they put in a bigger stock for free, and ended up with 540/500 with the biggest cam they offer. Granted, he hasn't had the heads milled/ported yet, but it goes ack in June for that (unless my other firend who owns a shop decides he wants the work instead).
Me and him have a run coming, which is the only reason I am so informed

Gents...And You maybe right regarding the driver but There is few thing u may need to know.
1- that 996tt tip car made less hp
2- The temp was 90F
3- The vette started on 1st and the 996 started with 2nd
4- The distance was short the vette slow down just before 2000ft..We all know that porsches need longer distance.
Even with better driver the vette maybe jump 1-1.5 car ahead but once the 996tt hit 4th it will destroy the any H/C C6ZO6's!
The same 996tt spanked low 600's GT500, new 997 GT2, modded skyline gt-r35 with +550awhp and plenty of bolt ons C6ZO6's.
It is ALWAYS depends on the rolling speed
