How are you finding the launch with the RWD conversion?
I have contemplated it but not convienced yet

We are running Drive Shaft Shop upgraded axles, as well as a Guard differential. We went RWD after installing the Guard, with the diff the car definitely seemed to go straighter, still working on the traction issues. With RWD only the R compounds defiantly did not hook as well as AWD, going to try a stickier tire and see if we can't get some better results RWD only.

Wes, Did you guys break axles or was it a preventative measure? Just curious if they did break at what RPM and how? I know cars are different, but this would help me decide how to drive my car at the strip, until I upgrade axles too.

good question. Lets see what comes back

But I know a turbo up here that laid waste to it's axles and it had a launch control at 4400 rpm I think. It also had racing slicks so it hooked while it hopped right in the middle of it's maximum torque (3500-4500) and bam!. I want to do launch control of 4000 rpm, but this is what worries me. that is a huge load on the axles.

My 2 step is set at 4k also. My clutch is not very "slippable" so I am afraid that trying to "slide" it out while flat-footed, I might end up dumping it at 4k and have to push it back in the trailer....

my new clutch won't be slippable at all either, so I might consider a lower launch rpm like 3200-3400, just under max torque.

Yeah... tried that... 2.0-2.1 60'...slightly less than impressive for ET's but likely won't break anything...got a track rental on 6/12...might be able to hot lap and practice launching...

that 60ft time is about the same as rolling off the line. Well, the best 60ft times I have seen in these cars seems to be 1.6. So half a second lost basically.

best pass of the day on my 1st time out. (left lane #109) This was a really bad 2-3 shift also, so room for improvement. Timeslip hardly representative of my 60-130...hilarious

your trap speed kicks ass. So I'd say that you should have been in the high 10's. you are almost at 130 mph. I noticed your 60-130 is incredible.

Going back soon. Fixed a couple of things, so I'm gonna try to improve on both ET and MPH. Might try some more 60-130's this weekend.:D

Spare tire, jack, tools and compressor come out. Meth kit probably adds 10lbs back in...Still AWD though.
