Oh crap - I can't believe what just happened...

I leave the office tonight and jump on 101 southbound from San Tomas. I enter the freeway and just in front of me a bus explodes:eek:

I find myself dodging pieces of metal as they are falling off this wreckage as it's trying to get to the side of the road. I think I've got it made when a bowling ball size piece of twisted metal falls right in front of my car - I drive straight over it and I hear it tearing apart the underside of my car.

I make it to the side of the road all the time hearing this gawd awful noise. I hit my emergency flasher and get out to assess the damage.

My new GT2 bumper and lip are damaged, and I see all sorts of pieces hanging down below my car.

I called my shop and he sent out a tow. It's in the shop, but he had all of his lifts occupied, so I have no idea what sort of damage I experienced.

What a crappy way to start off the weekend

My crackberry doesn't have a camera, but here's a pic I took just last weekend:

A Diesel Buss exploded? There must be some very high atmospheric pressures in SF. Or maybe it's all the methane in the air.

glad you're ok. Post a pic of the damage.

Nobody on the bus except the driver - as it turns out, the bus was just purchased to be converted to an RV and the driver was delivering it to the shop for conversion...

I guess they purchased a lemon hilarious

Thanks everyone for the good wishes.
