Anyone here with BBS E88's?

I'm looking at buying these wheels for my 996TT. One of the distributors I go through stated that they aren't a good street wheel, and that they leak air all of the time. Anyone have any truth to this? I am in love with these wheels, but I really don't want to be filling up my tires all of the time.

We are BBS Motorsport partner and have sold dozens of these wheels with success for our street/track customers. We also use these wheels on our World Challenge GT cars.

Feel free to give me a call we generally have the parts needed to build the wheels in stock.

I have them on my GT2. Yes, they tend to leak. My motorsport shop with ALM cup car support experience is very experienced with this wheel and has seen this problem many times and recommends a bead of silicon along the inside rim halves. This fixed the problem in my case. Other than that, it's a very high quality lightweight wheel that I recommend.

Favorite wheels!

I'm thinking about doing a gold center on them, but I'm not 100% on how they'd look on an arctic silver car. I might just pull the trigger on them though lol.

Did you drive it down the track while you were there or just drive it there for the pictures...?

Just was there for the Cars4Cancer show. I let me brother drive it there, as I was driving my old R34 GTR.

Mike, the car is getting re-tuned within a month or so, in which case I will be bringing it to the closest 1/4 mile strip near EPL. I need legit numbers out of this thing.

AtomicZ and S-351 both have a set as well. I think S-351 may be selling his set.

The BBS E88s are a special Motorsports wheel that has a history of winning races!

They are multi-piece wheels so any re-assemby will require sealing the wheels and the proper torquing of the hardware. We have a few customers running the E88 wheels on the street without any problems.

The problems generally seem to appear when the wheels are taken apart.

I'm glad you got them on!

They look great and soooo aggressive on your Porsche!
