btw, the last low mileaged gallardo i saw for sale was like $20 to $30k back of MSRP. is that still about accurate or has it sunk closer to fair value since?

Being the 550 was an older car, was it healthy (i.e. in good tune, driven regularly, etc.)? The Ferrari was carrying the camera man (I saw no passenger in the Gallardo) and was running with the windows open - these are disadvantages. Was the Ferrari's tank full or near full and the Gallardo carrying a lot less? I question the circumstances of the run not because I dislike the Gallardo, I like it very much, just curious. My feeling...the two should be very close when accelerating from a roll, with maybe only a slight advantage to the Gallardo. Similar gearing and HP, Ferrari has more weight but a little more torque, etc. My $.02

Speaking of resale, hows those 996TT's, Gt2's and your almighty CGT doing?

Used G's are in the 155-160 range, which is not 20-30k behind Msrp.

Porsches don't hold their value worth a turd. But, what does that have to do with the Gallardo not doing so either? Is this some sort of competition over which turd sinks the fastest? If it is, Porsche's problem is massive over production. What's Lambo's excuse? Speaking of resale, have you seen the ***** slapping used Mercis take? FWIW, my friend getting a call from the dealer offering him one of their "pool" CGTs was the final straw for me - I'm not taking delivery. This is interesting too - it's been for sale for months and looks to finally be sold:

Another one with 26 miles didn't even get a no reserve bid of $420. The car might be a decent buy closer to $300k in a year or so.

Sorry, have to disagree. When the Gallardo first arrived, Msrp started just over 160K. Then they had a price increase. Lambos problem is that they overstock dealers, ferrari and its dealers create false markets. As for the Murci, i wouldnt call its depreciation as a ***** slapping. Used nice 02's are still getting 200-205k, from an Msrp of 278,000. Thats not bad for what is now a 3 year old car.
