When I first turn the car on, car won't start for about 30 seconds.

It's a wierd problem. I turn the car on and the radio turns on, lights light up, but the gauges don't activate, the warning lights don't come on, and I can't turn the engine over. I sit there for about 30 seconds, then for no apparent reason the gauges come to life, the warning lights all light up, then go out, and all is fine. I can start it right up. Anyone have any idea what could cause this????

Sounds like your ignition switch electronic module is going. Apparently common on 911s & Boxters. I'm having mine replaced tomorrow for similar problems.
