Preliminary Dyno Numbers K24/20g's

Well we had a little trouble on the dyno this evening with wheelspin. 4th gear pulls. We tightened the car down a few times but just couldn't get it to put all the power down without wheelspin. 625hp/575tq going to redyno tomorrow or Saturday with DR's on to see if they'll stick any better. Temp was 76 degrees with 40% humidity for anyone that cares on a Dyno Jet Dyno. Fans on IC's and on front radiator. Boost was @ 1.42 bar. Happy with the numbers considering everything but i think there is a little more in it.

Very nice, Ben. But yes, she has more than that in her.:)

I'm not sandbagging I promise Scott. hilarious I'll report back when we have drama free numbers.

Ben,
I bet she has at least 25 more torque if not 50. It depends where it was slipping but hp may not change much since its at high rpm where its less likely to be spinning. Speculation aside it will be interesting to see the result with the DRs.

I think this is a big issue once serious power is being made.It is one reason I am sceptical about so many numbers seen.

I'd agree Mike I'd say about 25hp and 50-16tq still on the table. But who knows? It is what it is. Car goes like stink. We'll see what Todd K. thinks after we get a good dyno and see how to proceed with getting more power safely.

Hey Ben, if you can pick your time try early fri or sat. Air should be cool and dense like it was at the mile.

Dyno numbers don't mean much...u went 200....that counts more than the dyno numbers. Your car rips ;)

BlownVette Oct 22, 2009 07:25 PM

Not sure if you are dynoing in RWD or AWD, but if you put someone (x1 or x2) in the back seat it might help to get some weight over the rear axle to help with the wheel slip.

Also, when I had twin-side-mounted intercoolers I used to use two high-speed-electric leaf blowers directed at the intercoolers to better replicate actual driving conditions and get air flow across the intercoolers. Regular type fans, even the squirrel cage designs, don't seem to get the job done.

This is 6speed, nothing is drama free:p

As mentioned, you did 200 and will break 6 seconds in the 60-130 that is what really matters, however you should be close to 700 on C 16 and 1.5 bars.

Nice numbers! Sound like you and chris were on the dyno at the same time!

Absolutely Tom. There were a few inquiring minds ;).

Sean, dynoing RWD with the cage its hard to get someone in the back now :( We had a sufficient fan setup from what I could tell. We'll see what we can work out this weekend.

Sean, I'm thinking we'll be quite a bit closer to 700 if we can get a clean dyno run. We'll see what happens though.

With Mr. Nenni behind the computer I don't think we will. It all depends on big bro's ability to think with his brain and not his right foot!! hilarious
