Beautiful cars that still look as stunning today as they did when they were first interduced. I actually met the guy who ordered this perticular car at the CGT launch a few months back.

 

I'm probably the lone dissenter, but I didn't like their looks then or now. Performance and technology, no question!

 

I would take a 959 over a CGT any day. The 959 is what you get if you took a 911 to Porsche and ask them to do every little trick to it. It really is the pinnacle of the 911. What this car represents out weighs the performance difference to the CGT IMHO.

 

I must say the loook of the 959 never thrilled me. I know what the car is and what its capapable of but the look was never that appealing to me

 

Me too. Stunning tech for the day. Today's 996tt is better
technically, in my opinion, and certainly if similar money is
spent. Looks are subjective, but I also think the 996tt is
much better looking. The 959 just looks 'gummy' imho.

Was Sexy Then and Still is TODAY. a family friend still has one and took me for a ride once BOY IS IT FAASSSTTTT!

Very nice, Do we have any P shop experts here? I would like to see the 959 with some aftermarket wheels, maybe some HRE's?

 

I liken the 959 to driving a non-X50 911 Turbo in 1988, imagine that. It's simply amazing what the Porsche engineers were able to accomplish with the original 911 platform, they pushed the limit of the platform and came up with an amazing car.

That car at Amelia is pretty sweet, I do think it looks best in silver or white, just preference.
