8 quart oil change?

I had the oil on my 2002 TT done the other day and the tech used 8 quarts with the change. He also replaced the filter and the oil gauge reads full.

Is this the correct amount of oil or was something forgotten?

Factory specs say 8-8.5 liters with oil filter and turbochargers on my 997TT...should be relatively the same for the 996TT.

996TT manual states 8.5 quarts with oil filter change.

He may or may not have remembered to drain the turbo tanks. Either way, if you are within a bar or two from the top, you are OK.

Turbo tanks hold a 1/4 quart or less.

2LOW4 is infamous around these parts
Just did mine myself, crankcase, oil tank, filter and turbos. 8 quarts put me one bar below the top full mark, warm after a trip around the block.

Wow, that hot oil comes gushing out of that tank. Glad I had gloves on and a pile of newspapers around the drain pan.

Since I was trying a new place just wanted to be sure something big was not forgotten
