Do not usr a Schumacher battery tender on your Porsche. My battery was being overcharged and on the brink of exploding!

Thanks for the advice on battery tender. Do all Porsches switch off lighter socket at shut down? Can I use the lighter socket with the tender on 2003 GT2?

Battery tender junior....

I got it for my motorcycle but sold the bike and realized there was a picture of a 996TT on the package. So, after reading the instruction to see if it was compatible, I am using it on my car since over two years with success. And it is plugged directly to the battery with special extension...

Deltran Battery tender Junior 12 Volt 750 mA. Switches automatically from charge to float.... About $25.00

Have a look at Save A Battery. http://www.saveabattery.com/

Watch the video, great product. We're a dealer and should be an installer soon as well.

I got one for around $60.00.

Good Luck.

The Porsche Techquipment cigarette lighter charger works great when everything is locked up. It cycles on and off so the battery won't overcharge. I've been using mine for 3 years now. Suncoast has a great price. It's the same one MY996TT has shown.

+1 on the CTEK 3300. I think they are the OEM for the Porsche chargers as well.

Good product. You can hardwire in the included harness so it's a simple plug and charge operation. Very clean and easy.
