I have an '04 996 tt cab. The keyless entry works intermitently even though I have changed the batteries in both my keys. If the problem is with the receiver or the electronic control unit does anyone have some idea as to what the repair entails or how much $ I'm looking at for the repair?

 

What do you mean by intermittently? Both key FOBs? So if you don't use one for some time, it may go to sleep or need re-programming. If it is one you use all the time, check to make sure TSB 07/04 9662 Insufficient Range of Remote Control has been done.

 

By intermittently I mean sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. The problem seems to be getting worse as now (both keys) don't work more often than they do. I'll check on the TSB. Thanks for the help.
