Nothing is "good rate" or you can say everything is "good rate" in the Bay Area. What kind of clutch are you talking about? SharkWerks are the "go to" guys for my performance stuff. For maintenance/repair stuff, I usually go somewhere else.

 

If I can hijack this thread and ask where do you go for maintenance work?

 

Just recently purchased my 2003 996 TT. Haven't had any work done yet.

I go to Marvin at The RennShop too. One person shop but super nice guy and very detail oriented.

If you're looking for strictly service and repair, I have been working with Don at Dons Autowerks since the early 1980's. Good, down to earth guy, decades of experience with Porsche only, and very competative rates. He's in Campbell.

Where are you in the Bay Area? The two shops I've gone to
that have found problems I didn't know I had, proven them
to me, and fixed them well have been:

Bauer Porsche in Oakland: 411 26th st Oakland 94612 510-834-2772 chris and brian and rob
S-Car-Go in San Raphael: 533 Irwin Street San Rafael, CA 94901 415-485-6026 rob, mark, pat, phillip

Both have done small and big work for me. For bigger work I'd go to S-Car-Go,
but even though I've never done anything with SharkWerks, I'd trust them
completely. Alex has been on this forum with information and results for
years. He has blazed many a trail with 996tts.
