just some small points to think about!
You are definitely right, TUV is a big deal for some people but what does it mean, that the wheels will fit the car.

Every Forza model is scrupulously tested. Before any Forza design was approved for production, prototype models were subjected to a series of rigorous durability tests to assure they meet or exceed the SAE J2530 Compliance (Society of Automotive Engineers). All the tests are carried out at an independent lab by experts using special equipment in a controlled environment.

• Fatigue Testing up to 150,000 cycles
• High Speed Dynamic Durability Tested 200+mph
• X-ray and Shearography Non-Destructive Analysis
• Impact Tesing up to 4200 lbs
• Dye Penetrant Crack Inspection

TUV does not simply mean that it will fit the car. TUV is the strictest wheel standard in the industry and is necessary to sell any product into Germany. TUV not only requires the product to pass the strictest structural guidelines in the industry, it also requires the manufacturing facility to meet TUV engineering, production, quality, and customer service standards.

TUV Verification and Certification requires the following:
  • The company making wheels to be TUV approved MUST have a formal engineering/production/quality control process of the type similar to ISO 9001.
  • These processes are directly audited and approved by the German TUV offices at which point the company receives official TUV verification/approval status.
  • Each wheel style, diameter, and fitment (ET, PCD) is submitted to TUV for structural testing, requiring multiple wheels per fitment.
Because you are TUV verified does not mean that all your products are TUV certified. TUV verification does mean that your company builds and tests their product to the strict TUV standards.

In the US there is no required testing standards for aftermarket wheel manufacturing. Their are only suggested testing parameters, such as SAEJ2530. SAEJ2530 is a good standard but it is not as hard to pass as the TUV standards.

I hope this helps clarify what TUV is and what it requires.

Exacly, that's why TUV Verification and Certification are two different process of testing.

Verification means that the facility is capable of producing a TUV product. (It does not mean that every wheel is certified.)

Certification means that you send every wheel that you manufacture for a specific car and it passed testing, that means that if you have 5 designs and you make them for 20 different vehicles only those are certified.
