I don't get people saying this is stressing the stock motor the limits are still being found and with the new efforts in tuning this platform guys like chris are showing what this platform is truly capable of.

I have yet to see one of these engines break from power alone...

It seems that the "built" motors are the one breaking. Right?

I have a perviously "built" (not by me) motor apart in the shop right now that I purchased from a customer for spare parts. The customer was told that the engine was damaged ONLY due to high power levels.

After disassembling... I found this.... Knock...knock... who's there

In most cases, its not even improperly built engines. Its improperly tuned "built" engines. Tuning is everything.

(Detonation damage)

Wow that thing is picking up some big mph at the back half and all of this on a stock motor....wow! Huge MPH!

There also may be a few cars some with stock internals and some with stock engines plus boost that would fit in the criteria for under $2,000 a month. A Ford GT comes to mind, especially as prices have dropped.

Chris,

Congratulations to you and EPL! That's a fantastic accomplishment with your car and it seems Tony has done well dialing in the tuning.
