Tubi vs europipe

Finally getting ready to pull the trigger on a quality aftermarket exhaust for my 2003 996 Turbo. I searched through the threads and was overwhelmed by the sometimes emotional and numerous opinions on many different exhausts and 'droning issues'. Veteran 6 Speeders, which would you get if you had the choice, Tubi or Europipe ? My local dealership promotes Tubi and many 6 Speeders promote Europipe. Thanks for any info. Regards.

There's a used Europipe loud in the FS section. I would grab that one if still available. It only has 3k miles on it.

Exhaust tone is such a subjective thing that you really have to hear them for yourself in person to make up your mind. Nobody can tell you which is better any more than they can tell you what flavor of ice cream is best. I had an exhaust setup on my last car that people at the track said sounded great but I hated and got rid of it. Its a very personal preference.

Thanks, have you had to chance to actually hear the Europipe in person. How does it sound compared to the stock exhaust?

I have the europipeII quiet. It's a little more authoritative than stock but
not obnoxious, and in the only comprehensive dyno test of competing
exhausts, the europipeII gained the most power over the rev range, and
the build quality is excellent. Several tuners recommend it. Kevin of UMW
for one...

Europipe loud is fantastic. Great sound and no drone. I have had 3 and 2 were stage 2 loud on coupe tt's. The stage 1 I have now is perfect for the cab with plenty of grunt when i step on it.

I was shopping for an EP2 Quiet when a Loud popped up used. I jumped on it and love it. Not too loud, no drone.

Tubi vs europipe

Thanks for the feedback. It seems the consensus is no drone.

Of these two, EP. I have another brand....search and you shall that opinions out there in exhausts. It is a personal thing ultimately. I think the quality of the EP is tops. Mine is equal, but nothing is better. They are heavy (like stock).

Both have great sound quality.
Be prepared for some drone in any performance exhaust, people who say there is
none are either deaf or lying.
I have had
PSI quiet
PSI loud
EP Stage 2 quiet
Switzer
DG Speedtech
(good friend has a TUBI on his 996 TT Cab)

YOU MUST DRIVE ONE THRU ALL RPM RANGES TO KNOW WHAT YOU LIKE and
what you are excited about today (racy sound) may get old in two weeks.
Good luck !

Can I cop to deaf?

The loud is loud, but I've not found one particular RPM where it seems to resonate annoyingly. That's what I call drone.

+1000 on you need to drive/listen to one in person- no youtube video will cut it.

exhaust

I have had both, Tubi and EP2 loud, the ep is hands down better in my opinion. though I did have the gen 1 tubi. the ep has deeper sound, you can hear the turbos better, much bigger cats, more free flowing.
