Blow off sound in TT.
I think I should share this and some friends will like it. My tt has all things those make me grin but one. It lacks an exciting SOUND, no exotic exh. note and no blow off sound. Recently my diverter valve leaked, I tried to dig deeper and hunt to get nice loud blow off sound. Finally found this option. It is a blow off valve that has both recirculate air back to intake (this prevents stall and check engine light) and blow outside. It has section area more than twice of stock diverter. Bloww off port has trumpet to make it louder. So I swap this in place of F-hose & diverters and here we go. Toxicated Wssooossh sound without check engine light.

I just did the same thing this weekend. It sounds cool for sure.
What part did you use? I used the agency power BOV. Instead of using the f-pipe, I used a 90 degree silicone reducing elbow and put it in the place of the F. MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to get in and it gets rid of some of the junk. I plugged the closer of the two bottom hoses on the intake side of the BOV and put the valve in the front one.

Some cars can have lean spikes if you switch from a bypass valve to a blow off type valve. Not sure about the 996TT though. Might be worth checking into?
Edited: I didn't see the part about the valve also recirculating as well. Sorry.

No lean. If I adjust to blow too much, most of the boost, it is rich like normal BOV would do.
Nearly go with AP one too. But AP has stock diverter valve size, 22- 25mm. The one I use is bigger 38mm diameter and blow port has trumpet, which is loud.
