Keys for my Convertible.. don't have top opening option

I was looking through the owners manual on my newly acquired 2004 TT Cab and it mentioned that on the convertible Porsche keys they have a dual button that also will control the top.

When I look at both my factory keys they don't have that dual button. Was this an option when purchased or should I have these keys?

The car only has 7,900 miles on it so everything (inlcuding all the documents) look brand new.

Thanks for the help,
Bryan

Hello

Anyone out there that can help with a convertible TT?

Thanks,
Bryan

I noticed that in the manual as well, but do not have it on my keys. Asked service folks at local dealer and it did not sound like they knew what it should have. A button for it would be nice! My door lock does not even operate the roof (thinking something not connected inside door).

Looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

I have a 04 TT Cab; no extra button on the keys. But I installed the RemoteTop and SmartTop products. I can hold the Lock/Unlock button on the key and the top would open or close depending on if you are locking or unlocking the doors.

I asked the dealership about this several months ago. I think that is was an option in other countries, but not the US. They couldn't order the fob with the extra button.

Where do you buy the RemoteTop and SmartTop products? That sounds like a good upgrade.

Thanks

Appreciate the replies.

I would also like the info on the remote top option. Do you have info/difficulty of installation?

Thanks,
Bryan

I have SmartTop and RemoteTop on my cab. Works exactly like the outside of US cabs. They are a few hundred a piece.

It was a group buy from 6, but they ain't cheap. Easy installation (had to be easy since I did it myself), do a search on 6 and you should be able to find it! The feature I use the most is one touch open/close.

btw, you'll need both pieces to get all the functions.

Welcome, most people (that I read from) enjoy the features form SmartTop and RemoteTop. Good Luck!

Keep in mind that the chirp function (when locking/unlocking the car) doesn't work well. Mine was working for a couple of months and then it interrupted with the window function (the window couldn't close all the way)... so I ended up turning the chirp function off.
