Look Who's Back

I just received my latest issue of 911 and Porsche World. On page 55 9ff has an advertisement. It states "We are in search of new authorized dealers! If you are interested in our line contact us!" hilarious I wonder what ever happened to jro and his suite against the 9ff USA representative and/or 9ff? I understand he was really taken.

If the guy who runs 9ff is as bad as he has been described in this forum and on Rennlist, then perhaps the editors of 911 and Porsche World should be warned.

Unless there is proof, it sounds like the magazine could be subject to litigation by 9ff, if the magazine drops them without justifiable cause. I am not defending 9ff by any means, just wearing my lawyer's hat even though I am not a lawyer...:p

rockitman,

I saw the defective suspension parts on jro's car while they were on the car and when they were removed. That was at S Car Go Racing. No hear say there. When I last talked to jro, no one was doing anything for him about these parts. As for what happened to his motor, I did not witness that first hand. According to jro, he was out in excess of $20,000 due to 9ff USA and/or 9ff.

What I saw was one collapsed/leaking shock. I understand there was other problems. I have some pics of the parts.

Hi everyone, It has been a while. During the month of August, I tried to reason with Mr. Ballot, former 9ff USA president and failed. He says that he is busy building his new business, and that he would appreciate me helping him to get new customers to buy from him. Yeah right, where is my money!

He said that he agrees that I should be refunded all of my money, but will not commit actually commencing with paying or agreeing to a schedule. After about a month of discussions with Frederic Ballot, I came to the realization that why should I believe such a statement from someone that has lied to me in the past to gain my business. He told me many negative things about 9ff Germany, and how he was not aware of them at the time. I am not sure what to believe, so it is only fair for me not to make them public.

In mid-Sept 03, my attorney in AZ finally received my ECU and Car Registration via hand delivery, no return address provided . This was after 'many many' requests by myself.

I have received a report from the BBB of AZ about a week ago. I have reviewed the responses from Mr. Ballot in the report, and I have to say that I am not impressed with the additional lies made up by this person.

I have had some positive experiences with Jan Fatthauer, 9ff Germany. He has offered to refund my money on the parts. A total of $11,610. I have recieved a first payment of $4,975, and it is my understanding that I will received the balance this month. I have in return, shipped back the defective sport suspension, and as soon as I receive the final payment, the rest of the 9ff stuff will be returned. I had planned that once Jan came through with the $11,610, I would communicate that fact as well as others on the discussion boards.

I have been told by both Frederic Ballot and Jan Fatthauer that they will be pursuing each other legally in reference to their 9ff business relationship.

I am still out an excess of $10,000 for labor, expenses, and legal fees and have moved forward with a legal claim against Mr Ballot. The process is slow, but I am hoping that the outcome is positive for me.

Good luck. Seems like a very unfair situation that you found yourself in. At least 9ff in Germany is doing something...

cjv Oct 5, 2003 06:50 PM

That is great jro. At least 9ff Germany has finally started to step up to the plate. The latest advertising and your agreement must be a coincidence. I hope 9ff choses their future representatives with disgression and care.

As for Mr. Ballot, 9ff USA and any of his future business, remember the name. If things go wrong you might encounter the same treatment jro has been receiving.

jro, didn't Mr. Ballot recently try doing something with PCA? Some type of Porsche wholesale parts club?

jro Oct 5, 2003 07:13 PM

cjv,

I remember someone asking about Mr. Ballot using a PCA list of members to solicit sales of some sort. I brought up that he still had my ECU, and in about a week, my ECU showed up at my attorneys' office in AZ.

cjv Oct 5, 2003 07:15 PM

John,

Do you know the name of his new company?

alamein Oct 5, 2003 08:06 PM

can't believe that 9ff Germany won't refund all of your money, incuding your out of pocket expenses ... hopefully enough people saw your story and will stay away from 9ff, US or German, for good.

He is forming a tuning ECU company called (insert proper name here:http://www.chiptuningusa.com) Since I sit on the national PCA level and the local level I saw his name come across twice. My suggestion to them was do your research before you let him in.

sharkster Oct 5, 2003 08:32 PM

Daham... I hope nobody sends their ECU to him.
