Broken AXLES .. What options ?

Tried to race from a dig, press the clutch then raise the rpm to 4500-5000 and BOOOM
I know the stock axels is weak and i shouldn't start with that much RPM. But It happens.
So What option is the best to go with ?

You could replace stock axles and launch easier or EVOMS has a bullet proof set on their site. I would probably just replace the stock ones and launch easier. If you replace the axles and continue to launch hard the tranny may be the next thing to go.

I'm a big fan of the EVOMS 300M axles. They are unbreakable and come with a lifetime warranty. Cost is around $3k.

IMO, it's not the absolute rpm value but rather the speed that you let out the clutch and floor the accelerator. For my launches (which are not the fastest) I run it up to 4500-5000 and let the clutch out only moderately fast. When I feel everything is fully engaged I floor the accelerator. I don't get any 60 foots faster than 2.0s with this method but I have not broken an axle either.

pre gt2 conversion I launched it at 3500 not with conversion I find it a lot easier and tried 4k on the street and you slip a bit then it grabs and go. P2P are you just dumping he clutch or slip at all?

There's two kinds of axles I've heard the drive shaft shop axles don't fit all that well but are similarly price with the evoms units.

I have the drive shaft shop ones. there is some fitting needed. It was easy to fit though. The only problem is that your clutch is going to take a beating...

It was easy. The bottom of the shock tube where the sway bar end link attaches needs a little trim it hits the CV boot (the little cup that the shock looks like it sitting on). I have PSS9 and not sure about the other brands out there. The Drive shaft shop axles are way beefier then the evoms units and can be rebuilt easily. It was a easy choice for me. My set of axles where from the first run and I am sure things changed by now. If need be I can snap a pic as my junk will be on the lift fitting an other clutch...

Thats' why I said "pretty much" IMO, wheel hop is just as bad as dumping the clutch, if not worse, as wheel hop affects the whole car, whereas dumping pretty much goes straight to the axles, and stops there...(as they self destruct!)
