Any way to tell if the motor is the original that came with the car from the factory?

 

by the numbers... I believe if there is all stars it was replaced with a factory made motor. Not sure how the numbers work, maybe the last four or something but the trans is numbered too. My factory cases where scrapped but my trans case is factory and I will check it by Monday for you.

 

Engine code is stamped to the LH engine casing, lowest part, readable from right. Might be slightly hadr to read, but with light & shadow it comes out. Compare that to info from the PET and you'll atleast see if the engine is from tha same MY than your car.
