My friends at AE Performance hooked up a great deal on 19" Forgestar F14 in OEM silver (with my favorite track tires Hankook Ventus RS3, 235 and 305 Porsche 997 GT3 setup courtesy of my friends at City Tire Online). Then another buddy lent me a killer Canon to take some pics.

8.5x19.
12x19.

Weight comparison rear wheels (not sure the scales are 100% calibrated but the difference between the setups is the interesting part):
12x18" CCW 1-piece with 315: 59 lbs
12x19" F14 1-piece with 305: 61.5 lbs

PS: Porsche 996 GT2 style rear decklid by Misha and GT2 front by Tony/Precision Porsche.

looks great.
I especially liked the 3rd photo.
How do you like the RS3 tires?

LiNks 07-18-2011 02:56 PM

As much as I dont like Forgestar your car looks amazing and those wheels look awesome on it. Congrats, great job.

Thx!

I always drive RS3 if I can. For track they're very grippy, and most important to have fun - super consistent. I usually outrun cars on R888, A048, NT01 etc. For street I find them silent, durable and compliant with the road which helps comfort.

The 19" setup is actually really good on the TT, biggest difference vs 18" is that when anything is "off" in the alignment I feel it a lot more.

lol that's a big compliment then, thx! I guess it's in the car color huh? ;)

With the hubcentric rings and correct bolts they're on solid.

Setup looks great. RS3's are great tires!

AspenWhite05Sti 07-18-2011 03:34 PM

Lookin good. 19's just fill out the wheel wells so nicely.

Looks good MrWhite, the contrast on the logo in the second pic is so strong I had to verify from the other shots that it was part of the car, and not something photoshopped on. How is the new car treating you? Very glad to see you back on your feet again after your loss last year btw.

MrWhite 07-18-2011 04:46 PM

Thx! Yeah Kwei I probably pulled a bit much in the contrast on some shot(s). I'm better at racing Porsches than taking pictures of them. :p

+1, only TT exhaust I heard so far with an exotic tone to it.

Brumao 07-18-2011 05:48 PM

Perfect!!!

k-ore 07-18-2011 07:36 PM

MrWhite: Any rear shots of your car? Are you as well running a AE Perf exhaust on your car? I'm just trying to see if you have tips..cause my system didn't come w/tips.

Mr White, what tire sizes are you running?

pzgren 07-19-2011 01:37 AM

Very nice rims, great look - and nice pics, well done!
