Brake cooling recommendation

We do tracks and autocrosses (so cold braking is important).

On the track I am getting lots of deposit from the street OEM pads to the fron rotors and the brake feels kind of grindingly.

Should I switch pads or should I add a brake cooling kit?

If switch pads is it, what pads?

If adding the kit is the solution, can somebody post pic's of the recommended kits and where to get them?

Thanks.

I do DE's too.
The best bang for the buck is Racing Pads (Pagid, Hawk) and racing brake fluid (changed frequently). I am getting better and faster at every DE, and have never had brake fade. Good racing pads do eat up your rotors faster than street pads, but they are well worth it. I change my own pads, rotors and brake fluid. It is the easy.

crispin,
gotta make sure u don't have the real GT2 one because if u have the steel rotors the GT2 brake cooling duct will not work properly since it's designed for PCCB larger rotors. what u need is the GT3 duct for the non-PCCB car.

ypshan,
check ur PM.

On my '03, with stock brakes, I used the GT3 cup ducts up front and GT2 ducts in the back. Along with a proper brake fluid, I didn't get any significant fade on the track. I am sure that pads, inconjunction with the above mods, would get rid of the issues that you have.

Hmmm.

I have my car at the shop right now so I will speak with Dave (my builder) about it.

I am sure that whatever is on my car is the correct setup, I let him handle everything.

very easy to tell once u're looking at it. as long as the air channel is aiming directly to the rotor then u have the right part.
