Ever wonder what it would be like to have and F1 driver drive your car?

That's pretty crazy. I almost bought an S type R, nice to see that the fair well in sand trap accidents.

Yeah, they implanted some diamonds on the front of the Jaguar race team cars. I think it had to do with the Diamond anniversary of the Jag LeMans win? In any case it crashed in the tunnel last year and gee whiz, couldn't find the diamond! Looks like the corner workers finally got a bonus......

The supposed story us the video is two years old and the passenger is a media guy. Man did he blow that. Not by a little, but by a LOT!

It was a promotion for a diamond company as well as promoting Ocean's Twelve the movie.

The diamond was not lost in the tunnel, it was lost in a different turn.

Rumour is that the "lost" diamond wasn't really lost, but was said to be "lost" to garner media attention.

The S-type R is very nice, id love one Black with ivory interior with navigation. I think their was more driver error there, then anything else. I doubt a E55 AMG would do all that much better with its hefty wait.

Good video, looks like the drivers head hurt a little afterwards.

Holy shnikees!.....

That was pretty silly. It would've been just a tad smarter to see how the car handled before turning a hot lap. Surprising to see an F1 driver do that...yes, even a Williams driver...

Doesn't it always amaze you how violent the jolting movement is even in a low speed impact? They scrubbed plenty in the sand, and the tires absorb a lot. But, did you see how heavily jolted they were even in their slowed state? Imagine a high speed impact...scary.

It's called Efwonitis. It's when a formula one driver loses his perspective and frame of reference. I've seen it a hundred times. F1 drivers forgetting their mundane set of four wheels just don't stop in a heart beat and don't pull 3 G's in corners. The most common antidote is exactly what this video displayed. Most side effects include, concussions, broken bones, and damaged egos. This guy got a taste of the cure but will probably be subjected to heavier medication in the future. These poor guys just don't make it in the real world. Sad.
