PCA / AutoX / Track
How many of you are PCA members?
I am considering becoming a pca loma prieta member.
Are any of you members of the golden gate or loma prieta chapters (CA)?
Do any of you autocross your cars? I am guessing you dont. Is it because the cars are too big and fast for the autocross?
Autocross appeals to me because it is close and rather inexpensive, but I have no idea what it is really like. I know our cars are meant to be driven hard, so i dont think i would be doing any damage to it other than brake pads and tires.
I also have no idea how to get my car onto a real track or what the cost/commitment is to get on a real track. (the closest one to me is Laguna Seca)
Any thoughts?
thanks
Scott

If you really want to experience what your Porsche is about, take it to the track for a weekend, it's a blast. Autocross is like playing in the sandbox compared to the full on track experience. Don't cut your short. Join PCA and look into the DE program, they will give you an instructor.
