Brought my car up to EPL yesterday and got a chance to meet Tony & Dave. Really cool guys, great setup & location.

STOCK EXHAUST (for now)
911 Tuning Turbo Inlet Pipes
Billet K16's
72lb Injectors

Made 480hp & 566 tq.

Had gone up to 496 but brought it down back to 480hp.

Awesome tuning results! Ran my friends GT500 last night (in Mexico) and walked him in third gear.

Nice numbers :-) Mine is putting down just about the same with the AMS billets on Tony's dyno. I've got stock exhaust as well but the cats are gutted. It's more than enough power for me right now but I figure when I get bored of it I can easily upgrade the exhaust and IC's and pick up a few more HP :-)

480 on his dyno is moving !

be curious to see what you would make when tuned at 1.1 bar

Lennon31987 Sep 13, 2011 10:07 AM

not bad!!!! you still have more to go.

SamboTT@ByDesign Sep 13, 2011 10:25 AM

When you get an exhaust it will be a spool up and power opening treat. Great tq

Wow, the max figures looks great, but the HP and TQ curves are kinda funky. TQ is really peaky, and maxes at 4k rpm. HP peaks at ~4700 rpm and then drops off (to varying degrees) to redline.

I'm more used to seeing a tuner shoot for a flatter torque plateau, and a rising power curve to redline. I wonder which tuning approach is more/less driveable, controllable, fun, etc.? Not a criticism, I really don't know.

Either way, congrats - I'm sure it's miles of smiles with HP/TQ like that.

K16s run out of breath, thats why you cant sustain the power all the way to redline. this car would be a beast around a road course and daily driving.

Nice numbers, an exhaust will really wake that up. Impressive, now if Erik would just get his running properly so Tony can get him his full tune. His made 442rwhp at 0.9 bar on an EPL base tune...he has the fully kit plus water/meth.

ttboost Sep 13, 2011 03:27 PM

Yup...exhaust should give you almost another 20whp and 20wtq...

480 at the wheels, or at the flywheel? I thought exhaust was a must before doing a flash and raising boost?
