Anyone's TT is reaching 100,000 miles?
Any major parts were changed?

I have seen 3-4 cars with over 100k miles running strong. Modified too. These are great cars!

I saw a odometer picture here of one of our European members with 250K. He said original motor/trans. Hopefully he'll chime in.

01 here with 44k; almost broken in... :-)

68,787 and going strong...bone stock x-50 and all that has been done is straight maint based upon Porsche requirements...
First time to have something extra replaced right now is the drive assembly for the hydrolic spoiler, it is leaking and there are several ways to 'fix it', it is covered under warranty so they are trying to figure that out. What a solid car. |
I've got almost 90K...
No mods - bone stock.
I've had a number of items that needed replacement (all of the following were under warranty): Convertible top motor Fuel pump Nav display (a line of pixels in the middle of the screen was constantly on) Micro switch in driver's door (used to lower the window when opening/closing door) Power steering reservoir control valve (there's a TSB on it) Various engine pulleys used with electrical systems That's what I know off the top of my head. I'd have to check the paperwork to come up with the entire list. I'm probably missing some other significant items in the list. I just had the 90K service done earlier this year, which of course isn't warranty work. The spark plugs were replaced at that time. When I bought the car I paid around $7K for a four year, 100K mile extended warranty (expensive since I bought the car with 66K miles) and to date I would have had to pay around $10K for all the work had it been done without it. As it was I instead paid $100 each time (deductible). Hence I've been making money on any warranty repairs for a while now. The warranty company probably hates me... :D Anyway, if ya wanna play ya gotta pay. :) The warranty expires in April next year, so I'm currently thinking about my options re: continuing to own the car. It may be mod time though... :D Do I regret my choice to buy the car? Not at all, though had I waited I might have gotten a better price - Lehman Brothers went down about five months after I got the Teutonic Beastie. But there were other considerations at that time that drove the purchase. |

90K and going super strong. See my sig for mods. The last garage queen I've had was a 944 turbo S. All I had was problems, leaking gaskets, seals, etc. These cars are meant to be driven. I drive it like I've stole it! :D
Someone posted this, don't know who - here it is: |
