Thanks Mike! I purchased most of the mods and interior parts from Vivid
including the small but potent 16g setup. I made the all to common
mistake of purchasing tons of mods without a solid formula to optimize
the setup. I drove up to Chicago last month and spent a week with the
Polish Porsche Meister, Markski. I left Chicago with a 996 turbo that'll
beat a GT2 RS by 2 football fields 0-150. It's a daily driver and it's solid
as a rock. I raced a 750 hp zr1 2 weeks ago and I pulled him 10+ car
lengths around 160ish. There are several companies on the board that
are much bigger and more prestigious than 911 tuning but I'll put this
car against any k16 based car Switzer or anyone else has. Same boost
stock internals etc.. of course
BTW Blackhorse purchased his 16g'sfrom Vivid as well. Thanks Dan!
Thanks Todd! Yep, one gear pull. It was really an accident. It's been dipping
into the low 40's in the evening and I'm not a fan of going sideways in the
dark at 110 mph lol. Just too cold for a 3-4 shift so I experimented with
a 4th gear pull. The car makes 600 ft lb's tq and it's a really nice flat
curve. I think that helps with the 1 gear approach. I'm curious what she'll
do with a classic 3-4 shift. I'll let you know when it hits the 50's.

Guys,
HoustonT just picked up a new CTS-V wanted to break it in properly with a 60-130 run for the board. He posted a 9.88s run which is really fast for a stock sedan with an auto tranny. My 996TT would barely go that fast with a tune! LOL!
Congrats Peter!!

Jeez, could have made a sandwich and then finished it before that run was complete.
What are the most popular brands for the GPS timing units used for these 60-130 runs?
Up to now I've only measured my past car's performance at the 1/4 drag strip, but like the idea of the 60-130 runs. I'm hoping to break the 11.0 barrier in my stock 997.2 TT PDK in the 1/4, think that is possible?

The standard and basically the only unit accepted here is the Performance Box by Race Logic.
Yes, I have seen stock PDKs running 10's off the show room floor.
