IMO 20" wheels are to big. The car's supension was designed for 18 & 19" wheels. So the geometry of the suspension is changed as well as the rolling dimamics the PSM reads in order to react under cornering and braking.

I like the look that 20" wheels give by filling up the fender wells though.

20" on a 996TT are just to big.. They do look cool though.

For looks go with 19" you can run 235-35-19 front and 315-25-19 rear (19x9 and 19x12

For performance you can run 18" 18x9 and 18x12

20" looks nice but they don't work well on the car. You end up with almost no sidewall which isn't going to cut it on the street. The stock suspension seems to work best with 18"s. If you going to change the suspension you might go to 19"s.

Yes the 20"s definitely feel the wheel wells nicely. Tells us what you had to do to make them work (ie suspension work, fender liner mods to gain clearance). kenny

Mine is lowered on 20" vossen's. I love it. Make sure the offset is right and tire size as well. Or it will not fit
