2008 R32 This was my DD, till my wife stole it this year. She "makes" me drive the Turbo while she jets around in the little sporty Golf. |
I've been going through cars pretty fast but currently these are my other 2...

You drive the SUV instead of the S65? Oh my, why?
S65 is on my 'soon' list. If you're thinking of buying one and need info/help PM me, an unmaintained S65 will vacuum your pocket out. I think some people these days are tempted to buy an AMG because the prices go down quickly, but then they cannot afford to maintain them properly (or they buy an AMG already with problems and then just continue driving them like that) and that's when the problems start racking up. That's also why you see some of them go for pretty cheap.

I would LOVE a w220 S65. How is the reliability as the miles creep up?
I ended up with a Mercedes authorized specialist (not a dealer), and this year we installed: new ignition coils (both), all new 24 spark plugs, engine mounts, transmission mounts and several of valves related to the turbos and I believe the MAF as well. Also had new TPMS sensors installed and new front control arms. All this was extremely expensive but well worth it, ever since the car had those things done it is like new (even better, it's Lorinser :D) and runs like a stove. |
My other Twin Turbo
