Love the SR22, do you have the turbo or NA version? I read that the turbo only benefits above 10,000ft. I'm wondering what cruise speed do you get at what usual altitude that you level on?
I assume it will feel weird flying with a side-stick instead of a yoke. But I heard you get used to it quickly. You get used to a side stick within minutes and never want to go back to a yoke after owning one. It's so much better for the cruise portion of the flight than a yoke which just takes up space. Passengers (my wife) also much prefer the side sticks. They can read a book, cross their legs, look around for stuff in a backpack, etc... so much better without having a yoke in the way. I'm starting to think about plane upgrades and am putting a very significant premium on airplanes with a sidestick vs. a traditional yoke - which of course is pretty limiting but at least there is one good choice, the Eclipse. |

As long as we're showing, an '11 X5 diesel is my DD, a '10 750Li is my wife's DD and an '07 Cessna Turbo 182T is my weekend driver. This leaves the highly modified TT a "drive to church on Sunday" car
John PS. Just noticed all of these are turbos! |

How you liking the S6 compared to M5 ?
Lots of people thought I was crazy but it was the right choice for me. I loved the M5. Possibly the best all-around daily driving car I had, right up there with my old Cayenne TT. I did get tired of the SMG in 1-2 gears. Since it was a commuter vehicle I spent a lot of time at stop lights and the jerking and clucking just wore on me. I will never forget having fun with my neighbors Gallardo. He still can’t believe how fast the M5 is J The M5 was an absolute beast, crazy fast and with exhaust it sounded the part. The S6 totally flies under the radar. Everyone knows the M. As for performance the S is just not quite in the same league as the M. I still think Audi missed the boat a bit being down 50+ hp to the M and the E63. I was actually going to pick-up another AMG but the deal fell through and I ran across this S. Great price, very clean, low miles, one owner and with full warranty and Audicare. I actually like the interior of the Audi better. The carbon is beautiful and I love the seats. I miss the raw acceleration at times but I knew I was giving that up so it’s not a surprise. The Quattro also gives me an opportunity to take the S6 to the mountains and ski hill. Both are great cars just different. I had the M for three years and got a solid price so it was time to move on. I love having one sports sedan, will keep this for a year and probably go for a new body style CLS63. |
Let's have some more pictures guys
Feel free to add bikes, planes, boats etc to the mix too :) |
