996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

What are the factory boost levels by 996 turbo model?

Finally have a boost leak tester and went thur an easy check, never imagine it works so good, found 3 leaks and have 2 fixed, one of them is popped out nearby the MAF, another one just tighten up, and the last one is leaking from the gap on the throttle plenum and the electric device(forgive me I don't know what to call it) in 23psi, and no idea how to seal it or it should leak there.

I got 1 bar static in first 2 gears, spike to 1.4 and then goes back 1.2, 1.3 in 3rd and 4th gears.

I'm betting the TurboS cars have a flash and boost that much closer to the last GT2 cars.

My understanding is that turbos produce .7 bar sustained, the X50s produce .8 bar. The 04-05 GT2 must run more timing or more boost. That's the only explanation for the added power.
